What Hopcheck does

Hopcheck is a URL redirect tracing tool. When you submit a URL, the tool makes HTTP requests to that URL and any redirects it returns, following the chain one hop at a time. The results are displayed to you in your browser.

What we collect

We do not collect or store the URLs you trace. Each trace is handled in memory for the duration of the request and then discarded. Hopcheck has no database, no user accounts, and no logging of submitted URLs.

• No account is created when you use the tool.
• No cookies are set by the tool itself.
• No URL you submit is saved, retained, or shared with any third party.
• No email address, name, or payment information is collected.

Network requests

To perform a trace, the service's servers make outbound HTTP requests to the URLs you submit. This is the purpose of the tool: those requests are what produce the results. The destination servers you ask us to contact may log those requests, just as they would log any visitor. That is a property of the URL you chose to trace, not of Hopcheck's data handling.

What we do not do

Hopcheck does not sell, rent, or share personal data, because it does not collect any. We do not build profiles, run targeted advertising, or track users across sessions.

Your rights

Because no personal data is collected or stored, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete. If this changes, this policy will be updated and the data controller will be named here.
